Head of Finance
The Head of Finance is responsible for the management and supervision of all financial activities of the company.
This will include the creation and implementation of financial strategies, monitoring of the company's financial performance, preparation of financial reports, and implementation of best practices in financial management. The role will also involve strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee financial operations. Oversee all financial operations within the company, including the accounting and reporting processes.
Develop and implement financial strategy. Develop and execute a financial strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives. This strategy should cover revenue, profit maximization, capital expenditure, and investment strategies.
Monitor financial performance. Regularly monitor and report on the company's financial performance. Identify areas of concern and develop strategies to improve performance.
Financial reporting. Prepare and present financial reports to the management team monthly.
Risk management. Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Regulatory and tax compliance. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Drive process improvement. Continually assess and improve financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in the use of financial management software.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
Work Environment
The Head of Finance typically works in an office environment during regular business hours. This role may involve additional hours to meet reporting deadlines or during busy periods such as the end of the fiscal year.
