Space Center Houston
Inspiring.
A mix of old and new, low-tech and high-tech. But really cool--and with plenty of photo ops!
Learning about the Artemis mission was totally inspiring.
Simple fabric displays with truss supports. But bright and colorful and bold.
A cooler version for this photo op might have been to have an actual landing capsule with a window cut into the side, but the visitors seemed perfectly hapy with this flat version instead.
The written response interactives were so simple but always full of visitors anxious to share their thoughts or send their questions to space.
Even the most basic graphics had aspirational messages. Looking up. Hopeful. Inspiring you to think bigger.
Being able to visit and observe actual engineering work being done felt special. Again, inspiring. Science in action.
Overall, absolutely worth the trip. I didn't realize such simple design and fabrication techniques could be so effective. It likely only works if the story itself is inspiring enough to carry the load, but you can do that when your mission is to send astronauts back to the moon!
